Ahmadabad is a city of historic monument. While visiting this beautiful monument the history comes alive in front of my eyes. One such famous monument is Jhulta Minar which means in English Swinging or shaking Minarets. As the name suggest this minaret is actually swaying.
Jhulta minar is located in Ahmadabad city of Gujarat, India. The mosque was built by Sidi Bashir, a slave of Sultan Ahmed Shah. It is in front of the Ahmadabad railway station.
It is a mysterious design and couldn't be understood by any modern architect till today. Jhulta Minar is a part of famous mosque Siddi Bashri in Ahmadabad. The minarets are 3 storeys tall and connected at one point. The vibration from one minaret can be felt in the other minaret but the connecting portion doesn't vibrate at all. The unusual construction of this structure is still a mystery for modern science.
